Exercising good preventive maintenance will enhance database performance and reliability. This is especially true if you are logging large numbers of calls.
There are several steps you can take to ensure smooth running.
- Keep the database small with the Auto Delete Options
- Set the Auto Database Compact
- Delete Invalid Call Records, or
- Archive and Delete Call Records from the Callwhere® database on a regular basis. Be sure to use the Callwhere® Database Utility program to compact the application database after deleting call records.
- Use the Windows system defragmenter and scan disk utilities to defrag and check your hard drive for errors.
